This globe attaches to a 12V H4 bulb. It has 4 small fins that grip the base of the bulb. It is a brand-new reproduction, 100% true to the yellow globes produced until the early 1990s.

History

Yellow headlights, mandatory in France from 1936 to 1993, were used to improve road safety. They reduced glare, especially in rain or fog, and provided better visibility than white headlights in these conditions. They were also adopted to distinguish French vehicles during World War II. Yellow headlights were replaced by white ones in 1993 when France harmonized its standards with Europe.
