Volkswagen Golf II GTI 8s
Installation of this flowmeter is easy because you just need to plug it in. The richness is pre-set as original. You can also adjust the richness.
We guarantee the part for 6 or 12 months. Here are our terms of warranty (click on the link).
The reconditioning procedure consists of an initial inspection of the entry of the used part, in order to see whether it is usable or not. If the flowmeter can be reconditioned, it is completely and carefully dismantled for a first cleaning (removal of dust and any other residues). This is followed by micro-blasting of the external metal surfaces and by simple washing for the plastic parts. We check the correct functioning and condition of all the components upstream, and if necessary intervene in particular the electronic track, the shutter, the bracket, the valve and the duct. The electrical resistance is checked. Some components can be replaced by original ones. As a result of the interventions, as an indication we could note that the malfunction of the flowmeter is often linked to wear by scratches on the potentiometer. It is this wear that changes the impedance, causing power losses, injection cutouts and unstable idling. After the reconditioning, this fault is corrected to return the flowmeter to normal operation. In the end, the part is tested. If the test is successful, the part is placed in stock and available for sale on our site. Normal behavior of a Golf II 8s consists of a relatively high idle the first 3/4 minutes when cold, then a stabilization of the idle at slightly below 1000 rpm. As the engine achieves its optimum operation when hot, please always let it warm up before driving, then drive gently for the first 10/15 kilometers. It is under these conditions that you will have to see a linear acceleration / deceleration, without cuts, without jerks, including with a more sporty driving.
Symptoms of an end-of-life flowmeter
If your engine is struggling to take its turns, that the idle speed is unstable, even very unstable despite its correct adjustment, that the engine "coughs", stalls frequently, that you must maintain the accelerator to start or keep the idle speed at its level, and above all, that you observe explosions in the exhaust, loss of power during acceleration, cuts in the towers, it is probably that your flowmeter is at the end of its life.
